Muscle and fat are 2 entirely different things. One doesn't turn into the other. Muscle can shrink but it can't become something else...and vice versa.

Muscle cannot turn in to fat, it is impossible.
A professional bodybuilder will lose muscle when he stops working out. If he continues to eat the same amount he will gain fat. If he reduces his food consumption considerably when he stops working out he could become weedy.

Each to his own. But apart from Peter Crouch I have never found tall thin men attractive. 20st is classed as obese, but for me its not about body shape when it comes to attraction. Mr T was overweight when I first noticed him and was instantly attracted!

Why don't you try dating people you've met in real life? You go out a lot, you must see loads of eligible guys in your work. You have lots of trendy clothes and I think I saw your FB page once too - you're not unattractive. Is there something better about doing it online?

the site you are using should give advice - first meeting in a public place with other people and tell people where you are going

I'd be reluctant too. It's very easy for someone to present themselves as something they aren't.
Not saying this guy is though. He has, in a sense, warned you that he may not be ideal dating material.

My wife tells me she can find 'big' men attractive (Robbie Coltrane is one of her crushes) but she finds thinner men with huge beer bellies a real turn off.

It does depend on distribution, but with men mostly front carriers moobs and bellies, it is a bigger health risk. But... Men are more successful at losing weight if they decide to do it.... I have at least one friend who took on a renovation man project, got a very attractive husband as a result. She now worries other women will go after him... Truth is he is devoted to her.

Bobbinwales - I'm not entirely sure what you have deduced from my tongue-in-cheek post, but let me assuage any fears you have that I was being sarcastic to abbeyleigh...

I met my husband through online dating. I was the one and only person he ever dated. I dated a fair few before I found the man I knew I wanted to spend forever with. It used to amuse me greatly when men online described themselves as "genuine." It's like when people call themselves "Real".

I had a conversation with a chap once online. I was only being polite really in responding to him. I decided to wrap the conversation up with, "I sincerely hope you find someone. Good luck in your search."

"Well aren't we going to arrange a date then?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I don't fancy you."
"I thought you were genuine."
"I genuinely don't fancy you."

He blocked me. But at least he was "genuine."
