Puffy Eyes
3 Answers
my sister is currently suffering from anorexia and recently her body has begun to suffer quite badly. her eyes have become very puffy. she finds it hard and painful to keep them open for long lengths of time. does anyone have any suggestions of how to reduce the puffiness? she has tried camomile tea bags (!) i was wondering if hot/cold compress may work. thanks

The web site address is LizEarle.com You can order online and delivery is quick. It's not the cheapest on the market but it is good. You may also want to try Distilled witch hazel (from chemists) and put some aloe vera gel into it. Give it a good shake and keep it in the fridge, apply it on cotton wool pads. Hope you're sister is getting help and support from professionals with her current problem. I guess It's tough for you too. She's lucky to have a sister like you wanting to find the best for her. Take care.
This is medical. Her body is basically saving energy for survival. I'm very sorry is I sound harsh but it's simply the facts. Her gp (I pray she has an understanding one) should be able to offer help. I have a 19 year old anorexic who I treat and it really does break my heart, her family love her desperately but it's somehow not enough for her, she really does have to love and accept herself. PLEASE speak to your own gp and get the support you need for yourself. You can only help her if you're strong enough to understand her. My very best wishes not only to your lovely sister but also you and your whole family
nfn is so right im a recovered anorexic and it does terrible things to the body its her body tring to survive. i really hope she is getting treatment somewhere decent i know too well how poor out health service is on eating disorders. if your need any support just yell.
