Specifically in the creases. Sometimes slightly puffy on the under eye crease. Upper eyes are rough on innermost corner. Sometimes it feels "prickly ".
I had similar but worse about 10 years ago...very red and sore. A wash I found at Boots helped...I don't recall the name.
I initially thought it was the crayon liner I was using...have replaced that.
Now I'm thinking it's the new brand of foundation that I bought shortly before this started about 6 weeks ago...only used as a base for eye makeup. Everything else I use...primer, mascara, cleansers...are bought fairly recently.
Any recommendations for products to treat this?

Lankeela, I know that you pride yourself on being forthright...but maybe you should bite your tongue once in a while.
I've worn make-up all my life...and I don't intend to stop now.
pasta.......it's blepharitis.
Nip to the pharmacist and buy Hydrocortisone 1% ointment applied twice daily.

I remember your post bednobs...this was just at the time. Occasionally I get a tingle and it goes...this time it's hanging around.
I'll see if local pharmacy is open...or check Boots tomorrow.
Thanks bednobs and sqad
Oh...does anyone know why it flares up...after years of no problem.

Should have read..."this was just starting at the time"
It juss does pasta....anxiety, tension....who knows?
The 'official' way to deal with blepharitis (i.e. the one given to me by an optician last year, as well as the one on the NHS website) is to apply heat to your eyelids prior to cleaning them. e.g. by soaking a couple of cotton wall balls in warm-to-hot water and then holding them on your eyelids for at least 5 minutes. See here:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/blepharitis/

Opticians and pharmacists like to sell you special wipes for cleaning your eyelids but I've not found them to be really necessary.

Thanks for that Chris...I think I read something to that effect a few days ago.

I always carry small tube of Simple Soothing Eye Balm in my pocket. After my ablutions in the morning I apply on my eyelids which get very dry during the night.

Making a note of that retro, thanks.

Now I'm wondering what the second deleted comment was...
It was an unnecessary and uncalled for comment from Gulliver causing mischief but we really shouldn't really discuss deleted posts. :-) What the Hell :-)

I can say unequivocally that brexit is not the cause of my itchy eyelid ;)
lol but Gulliver causes one hell of an irritation to others wherever he crops up
a comment on the earlier uncalled for comment. I don't suppose either will be missed.
