Just in from supermarket and you know everything is a burden- picking up the stuff ptting into basket. Legs are not what they were - could have a small sprint etc. in my day.

I don't think I should be thinking this at over 70 - too young .

Anybody know of something that would give me great energy - as in drink - thanks

You have my sympathy, jj. I have the same problems as you do, and I am older than you are. I have not found anything that improves my muscular weaknesses. I rub my knees and legs almost daily with a gel that's supposed to ease the joints, I take Paracetamol almost daily, I sometimes swear and curse, but nothing helps. Resting my limbs - in a chair - sometimes helps, but that's no cure. If you want great energy, I'm afraid that you will be disappointed.
Great answer by bookbinder.
JJ you could always get a blood test for anaemia and/ or thyroid
See your GP, but don't be surprised if he puts it down to your age.
We are all different with when we first feel the signs of old age.
Is this a sudden feeling jj or coming on gradually .?
Is your mood low ?
Jenny feel the same way as you. I've put mine down to getting older!! I have to keep telling myself "you're not 20 anymore!!"
Being depressed can make you feel weary and tired as well.
I feel like that a lot of the time. I've had all the tests and everything was barn-door normal, save for a slightly high folate. I've been told it's perimenopause and I have a conversation last Tuesday with the GP about the pros and cons of HRT. I'm still undecided.

anne - coming on gradually - I painted my living room in 2017 with one arm as I had been knocked down and some years later I'm finished LOL as in health. I am going to try my best to perhaps get a smoothie or something like it . Maybe I do need a GP though I lose going to them. Maybe I will get private GP - she was brilliant - she could advise.
A few nips of Old Paddy or Jamesons hits the spot for me. Nothing seems to worry you after that.
Well I suppose as it has been gradual it could be age related, but there is no harm in excluding any physical reason. A visit to gp for an MOT would do no harm .
