Flu Vaccine Very Painful Anyone Else Experience Similar?

Hi there. I had my yearly Covid19 and flu vaccine. Never felt the Covid19 jab at all but by Gosh did I feel the flu one. It was agony and a couple of days later my arm where it went in is really sore. Anyone else experiencing that this year ?

My wife and I had ours yesterday; flu left arm, covid right. Completely pain-free injection; today wife has very sore left arm, I have very sight ache. Both right (covid) arms are pain free.

We had both ours last week and mine just slight ache in arms for a day or so.  The wife's arm couldn't go near them for almost a week as they were so painful.  She also had reaction to the covid one again and couldn't get out of bed for couple of days and has hardly eaten for most of the week.  It's the same each time she has had the Pfizer one.  She said if it's the same one next year she will not have it.

I ended up going to physio after a flu jab - and that didn't really cure it.  My arm was problematic for a long time.

Got mine on Friday.(Both the Covid one and the flu one).Been feeling flu-ish ever since.

take paracetamol and or brufen ( brufen dont forget lansop) 

and it should be OK - do NOT put this down to allergy.

( it can be put down to the Al SO4 carrier, i read about 50 y ago)

Yep, ached for nearly a week to the point where I couldn't sleep on that side

I suppose it depends on the skill of the vaccine giver. If it touches a muscle it will get a bit uncomfortable for a day or two.

Its true that it affects people in different ways, and age can be a factor to consider. I can do a day in the garden and suffer some muscle discomfort for a week or maybe two. Your muscle mass reduces with age so a weaker feeling can be normal.

^^ That can also be a reason. Two people can have the same hip operation, one may suffer more pain than the other. Conclusion, one surgeon could be slightly rough and heavy handed.

I think hypochondria might be another factor.

Some people are strong enough to put mind over matter into action, but it does depend on wheather you have other problems in your life, and what those problems maybe. Sometimes mind over matter for some is impossible to reach.

Lots of side effects with both vaccines, particularly the Flu vaccine geordie.

Samuraisan @10.40.....it should touch a muscle as it is an intramuscular injection.

Only one year I felt discomfort out of ten years plus having it, I haven't had mine yet I recieve a text letting me know when its available at our local clinic, nothing as yet.

The latest jab was painful but zero discomfort since. Covid next week.
