Wheat Bag

Please can anyone recommend a thick wheat bag to put on my hip? I got one from Amazon but it's got hardly any wheat in it. I've been seeing the physio and she recommended applying a heat pad.

I can't recommend one, helly, but I have a cherry stone hottie which I've had for about twenty years and find invaluable, the heat lasts for ages. 

There are lots available on amazon, I can't even remember where I got mine from.

Do you need a hip replacement or is it something else? I've recently had steroid injections as I have bursitis in both (replaced) hips, one worked and the other didn't.

It's only just started Vagus so I won't be going down the hip replacement yet (I hope)! I will look at the cherrie stone hottie now.

If they do suggest a hip replacement, helly, go for it, don't wait, it's a life changer.

I  have a few from Amazon,  seem to be ok. You could try a hot water bottle ?

I thought I could get one which would wrap round my hip, but the one I've got is hopeless.

No, there isn't one near me.

Ice. is what i've been told always ice. and amazon has a velcro pouch attached to a stretchy band which velcros back to the pouch. You can put an ice pack inside pouch, or heat patch. If your sticking to heat rice bags, simple to sew shut a pouch with enough rice in it.

I ordered the one which bhg recommended and it's just what I wanted.  I can freeze it as well as having it heated.
