I paid £55 and no, itdidn't hurt. I don't think it's as good as syringing. Three months after I had it done I went for a check up with my hearing aids, the audiologist looked in my ears and told me they needed cleaning. I refused to have it done again so soon after.

Not many doctors do it free anymore, like they don't do much else.

I had it done at Specsavers.  It would say that it was uncomfortable at times rather being painful.  I think it cost around about £55 but that was a few years ago.

Not really painful, although the old metal syringe and warm water was better. But dangerous. Banned many years ago .

It's worth looking for an audiologist as opposed to an employer of a pharmacy .

I have to have it done every 3 months at the hospital. Not really painful but sometimes uncomfortable. I am susceptible to ear infections.

It may be in Scotland but my surgery don't do- they directed me to optical Express who wanted  about £30 an ear.

I bought drops and suction balloon ear wax kit from a supermarket for about £10. Worked a treat

I've thought about it but am fearful of having my eardrum sucked out.

I wasn't going to A &E douglas and if the doctor wouldn't see me for it and told me to go to Optical Express what should I do- just walk into Audiology? 

 

The doctor asked me what  the symptoms were and I said a cartoon family from Springfield USA.

Full disclosure, I was referred by my GP and had a fair old wait, trying various offerings from the experts at Morrisons, I did miss the balloon therapy one though.

Do they do kids parties too?

I use a DIY kit to remove wax from my ears. Never had a problem. This is it.
