Morning everyone! Dark, grey & damp here - surprise lol! Whatever happened to a normal summer in 2024!? It's more of a shock now if you wake up and it ISNT raining/miserable.
I've a pretty busy day - lots of little work ends to tie up & orders to sort out (most of you know that I work from home selling online)before I travel down to Devon on Friday morning-so that's one job. Then the usual housework/sorting out shopping etc for nxt week (cats etc)

MrSmow was flicking thru IPlayer yesterday when he stumbled across a series called THE CLEANER. I'd never heard of it before, but omg I laughed ! It's a kind of dark humour/comedy about a guy who is a crime scene cleaner, and what happens at the  houses he turns up to. But it's so original, I just found it so funny and refreshingly different - if youve never seen it give it a go!

So what do we all have planned for this soggy Tuesday?

'Morning Smow et al😊  No sog here - sun up and it looks as though it's going to be a warm day in SE Scotland. x

Grey and drizzly here.  Off to hairdressers for much need cut, otherwise not much on.  Need to get in garden where everything has gone mad including the weeds.

Sunshine in Scotland? Ooh make the most of it today then !

Ahh the good old weeds - are you in favour of weed killer, or just brute force pulling them up?

Good morning all, another grim day here. Smow I really enjoy The Cleaner, I've always liked Greg Davies. Series 3 has just been announced and should bet starting soon.

Morning all.

Good morning all. I'm in a very soggy Cornwall looking after my eight-year old grandson while my daughter has a work event in London. Smow, the drive down on Saturday was wet, windy and horrible. I think you'll find the train to Devon much more relaxing.

Hi Margo! So youve seen it - was it originally on BBC 1 or 2? Or literally just on Iplayer? And yes he's very funny in this - so many of the scenes are unexpected! Will definitely look forward to Series 3!
Morning Naomi!

Morning Smow and all.

I really enjoyed The Cleaner and like Greg's stand up, too.  Funny chap.

Torrential rain here, might build an ark later if I can find a few old pallets

Both series were on BBC1

It was on BBC1 Smow the first series was in 2021.

Morning Impatiens/Barry...... yes I think the train is definitely the best option for a long journey at the mo. I've sussed times and prices.

Bin day here again - Tuesdays - and the usual game of where will our bin be after they've emptied it lol. Hasn't been emptied yet, they seem to do one side of the road at about 6am, then come back about 5 hours later to do the other side(my side). I am sure there is a logic to it!

Morning all, damp and miserable down here in Devon today.  Last night rain was so bad the gutters couldn't cope and it was coming out over the tops of them.

Morning all.  After a glorious sunny day yesterday it's a bit cloudy today although the sun is trying to peep through. Got a lot done in the garden yesterday and will do a bit more today. Other than that it's just the usual though I will have to shop for essentials later. Enjoy your day folks.

Morning theshedman - yep the rain was like it here lastnight too! Was blooming awful evening!

Morning Maggie - do you have a big garden then?

Morning all.

Overcast and showers forecast for here in Belfast.

This afternoon I go with a friend for a veggie lunch.  She's vegetarian so I go along with her.  I don't think I'd want to give up eating fish but veggie once in a while is ok.

Good morning each.
Blowing a hooley and bucketing down here, a proper stay home and keep warm day. Just need to pop out for bread and that's it.

re the cleaner - i never watched it when it was on telly cause grg davies always grated on me.  However, since i got into taskmaster, i really like him, so might give it a go

re the rain:  yes really miserable here in berkshire AND i've got the heating on.  In July.

Hi Smow, yes I have a huge garden. Was fine when I moved in but I was in my 30s then and had a family.  Now 40 years on and on my own it's a bit of a challenge. Should really downsize but love the area, neighbours etc. Hey ho it's off to work we go lol.

Isn't a Sunny day in Scotland, and here in N Ireland, rare?

They even made a film Sunshine on Leith after a few sunny days. :-)
