There seems to be a belief held by some members of the human race that doing things which are uncomfortable or hurtful are good for you. It seems to me that evolution has made harmful things unpleasant and should be avoided.

When you finish your nice warm shower turn it over to cold for a few minutes.. apparently this is how you become 'woke' 😉

I've been turning the water to cold for a few minutes after every shower for years. If I don't I sweat badly after drying myself.

I thought it would aggravate the reynauds syndrome but oddly it doesn't. 

No ... but not advised for people with cardiovascular problems.

The Finnish people go from sauna to cold bathing on a regular basis.

Cold showers - not cool.

Some link to improving resistance to stress, and helping with depression.   Not everyone can go wild swimming , it was seen as a possible substitute although you need at least 15 mins a day to see any positive effects.   *** that rather take prozac!
