Dark and damp here, all ready for Halloween lol!
Seriously tho, whether you love it or hate it,our town is pretty good when it comes to it. There is a huge list you put your name on of roads where trick n treaters are welcome, and you must have some kind of light, decoration outside your door so that kids know they can knock. They aren't meant to bother anyone who hasn't got anything outside. We had loads last year - I know it drove MrSmow mad with the door knocking every 2 mins for about 2 hours but thought it was great to see them all dressed up and excited , going round with their parents n big sisters/brothers rather than just sat indoors watching tv. They all had such fun. Let's see what later on brings!
What else is going on today for you all then?

Usually get about half a dozen children, not all accompanied by an older teenager or adult. I do not agree with knocking on strangers doors in the dark unless it is an emergency. In my opinion Trick or Treating is a bad import from USA. It was not about in my youth although I do remember dressing up and going to parties where there was apple bobbing, toffee apples and treacle toffee all supervised by an adult. It is one day of the year I do not like. Apologies for being such a grouch!
Hi all,
Not my favourite time of year, either! It's well organised around our village. Little children are accompanied by parents/ adults. If your house hasn't got lights, decorations etc, they go on by. My little grandchildren love it. In fact my granddaughter is having party tonight with lots of friends. She live quite far away from here, so I won't be going, unfortunately!...🤭
