Laugh and the world used to laugh with you.

Well I wouldn't want someone running their fingers over my hair!

She'd 3 glasses of wine.

In vino Veritas.

Sack the bloody lot of them! Leeches.

She was obviously trying to be offensive.  I bet she'd complain if he called her Lady Bitch.

What did Lord Poppadom think of it ? Did he think she was trying to curry favour ?

For starters at least.

Dearie me! What happened to 'tolerance; live and let live'? Are such remarks really worth making a fuss over? Grow up and get on with it!

If she believed there was nothing wrong with the comments, why did she deny making them?

So far as I read , it was all light-hearted and friendly and I really don't see the problem. She obviously knew the chap fairly well and was relaxed (OK 3 glasses of wine does that) but it was all friendly.  Words are just words - it's how you intend them to be used that people have got snarled up over sor some weird reason.  She did not intend any harm or insult so far as I can read.

"If she believed there was nothing wrong with the comments, why did she deny making them?"

Because she realised there would be people like you who'd make a big overblown fuss about what she said and she was right.

Folk like her fellow Tory peer Lord Greenhalgh?

Isn't harassment usually recurring and happens multiple times?

This happened during a taxi ride...a single ride.

I wonder if that terrorist apologist at the Oxford Uni debate has apologised yet?

It was an unwise thing to say. Nothing is private these days... saying something like that within ear shot of someone with an agenda will have repercussions.

In her role she needs to be whiter than white ( terribly white) ... oops I can't say that but you know what i mean.

She obviously thought it was hilarious because she said it twice.

And yet Untitled can call people of 71 extremely old and that's not considered offensive.

71 is extremely old.
