Have you ever read about the dangers of sunbeds?

I have used, and will still use sunbeds in the past but 'everyday for a month' is shocking, you are running an extremely high risk of having skin cancer.

There is no need for it, there are perfectly good fake tans out there.

Why are you so desperate to be as dark as possible?

i think its more of an ocupational hazard, as i work in a salon, i see girls coming in and out with bronzed bodies and theres me with more frecals than a tan, want to look nice for my boyfriends birthday in feb.

Aside from increasing your chances of skin cancer, you are ageing your skin so you're going to look wrinkly before your time. Fair skin is no less attractive than dark skin, try to be happy with what you have.

I used a sunbed when i was in my teens, not a lot, just a few times through the summer. i am now in my twenties and i am allergic to the sun. I have to wear sun cream/block all summer and it has really affected my life. Both myself and doctors believe that this has been started through use of the sunbeds. When i was younger i used to go brown really easily!!

Parkers and Kittyglitter... you are so right..... there are so many brilliant fake tans out there, why risk your health!!

If you aren't even going brown, you're probably not doing your skin much harm. But freckly skin is susceptible to damage. Fake tan is probably the answer to your problem.

Im guessing you are already fully aware of the dangers and i guess you will still want to use sunbeds and get a tan right ?

You could try using different tanning shops, i have used some for ages and noticed little or no difference but then been to another and after only one session, been asked if i had been on the beds - try to find one that has been newly retubed.

You can get "tan tablets" from Holland and Barrett that deepen your tan when in the sun or on a sunbed, and also tan accelerator cream in shops such as Boots which also helps.

However if it is just for one day that you need the tan, you might be as well getting fake tan done in a salon a couple of days before

Your skin may be becomin 'immune' to the rays. Just as our body's become immune to infection etc. your skin may becoming immune to the tanning rays and thats why your not becoming as dark. The darkening of your pigments is actually the damage from the rays so thats why you go brown. Give your body time to heal itself and dont sunbeds everyday.
