Verrucas & Electrical duct tape ?

Hi, I have about 15 verrucas on the ball of my foot and a wart on my toe, they just keep spreading and spreading, been to the docs a couple of times but she just keeps telling me to scrub hard at them in the bath, and its not working at all, well last week I went for something else, and she mentioned an interesting piece of news, she said that a study had been carried out and that covering verrucas/warts with electrical duct tape until they have dissapeared had worked for many people, they dont know wether its something in the adhesive or the starvation of air to feed the verruca ? Its been on two weeks now, and somethings definetly happening, and now and again i can feel them tingle... has anyone else heard of this ?? Thanks

It probably works similar to the corn plasters which use moistness to lift the skin so its more easily rubbed off. If you cover something it will become damp and so the skin softens.

Just had a bath, they do seem to be getting smaller

As a kid i had a verruca which I regularly painted with a liquid wart remover. the top of the verruca came off and I continued the treatment until the root also came out. It took a week or so of continual dosing to fully remove the verruca.

Bazuka works well on verrucas and warts - you can pick it up from Boots or most pharmacies!

A new-ish treatment which has just become available over the counter is superb. Its called 'WARTNER', and destroys a wart or verucca in one treatment. Its available from boots and is very effective.

Tiger - yes, unbelievably duct tape does seem to work effectively to remove warts and veruccas. My nephew, a 4th year medical student recommended this method to me. I thought he was puling my leg at first but since reading up on it, both my husband and I have used it to removae some small warts. After 3 weeks they have virtually disappeared.
