Hi, I do loads of singing at the moment, and I've also had a very bad cold, I'm not actually sue what it was, but I was in bed for over a week, this was in the last holidays, and I still have a sore throat, my throat is swollen, and I keep having problems singing and having headaches and my throat is very red indeed, I don't know if it's nothing, but at the moment I'm puzzled about what is wrong, whether it is just a common sore throat, or something more, can anybody help?

Vocal chords can be damaged by various infections so any problems with your voice and throat should be taken seriously. It's possible that your vocal chords have become inflamed by singing too much when your throat was infected, when a rest is what they needed. Do check with your GP just to reassure yourself. It may simply be that a course of antibiotics will sort you out.
Thanks everyone, I've managed to get an appointment at the Doctors office for tomorrow, at the moment, I've just started having problems with my hearing, but I don't want to take anything because of the medication I already take which is for a problem with my circulatory system, and I don't want to sort of cocktail it all without asking my doctor first.
Thanks for all your help
