It is often the case that when you come off the injection (or the pill having been on it for a substantial time) it takes a while for your body to readjust itself to its own cycles. As such it takes time to get pregnant. However as far as im aware this is not an absolute! Just as it is possible for someone to get pregnant on the pill/injection, some people can get pregnant fairly quickly after stopping the contraception. Good luck!

have you ever had children before, because its not necassarily the injection thats stopping it is it?

when i came off the injection, i didnt have a period for 9 months

no havent got any children.

got my periods back straight away and they seem to last all month!!

Hi wduk2005 - I don't mean to be personal but I too am trying for a baby and was just wondering if you're having enough sex? Fertility experts often advise having more sex than you would have previously done before you stared trying. And I know it's not very helpful, but 5 months isn't very long to be trying so keep at it!

Try looking on www.babyworld.co.uk or www.babycentre.co.uk where they have ovulation calculators where you can work out the best time to conceive.

Good luck!
