Leg stretching...

whats the best way, for quick results, in getting your legs stretch for more flexibilty for kicking. I do kung fu but the stretches are taking their time in helping me get my kick higher. What stretch is the best??

Try doing gentle leg stretching exercises while relaxing (watching TV for instance) for about 1/2 hour a day/night. Done regularly, this will gradually make your legs more supple and you'll notice the difference after a couple of weeks.

stretching is best when your body is very warm... it takes about 20 mins of cardio to get ideal warm.,.


Then you can do some really deep deep (hold) stretching.. do not bounce when your trying to get flexable.. breathe out and lay into your stretch.. hold for at least 15-30 seconds, release the stretch then do it again even deeper.. nice and slow and breathe...stretch every day.. and maybe try yoga...

no need to do yoga when I currently doing kung fu.

i used to do karate , and was very stiff in the leg's ,. the instructor told me to stand behind the couch and swing your legs. after a couple of weeks i did get more supple . good luck
