No sorry wont join you after my post yesterday 'Feeling Good' we're all feeling too good about ourselves to want to lose weight :-) But good luck. :-)
Sure, one thing I was thinking of doing is starting a blog, not the usual sort of diary/opinion thing but simply a daily record of what I ate and what exercise I did. You could then point people to it so they can check up on you.

I am trying to lose nearly 2 stone before the end of june I am on the right track as I have something to do it for my daughters wedding .It is not easy and if you lose it to quick it will soon go back on. I am following weight care from which I lost 2 stone 3 years ago but a bit has crept back on again.I have not gone back to weight care as I know I can do it but as I say it is not easy food seems to be on your mind all the time so just aim for a little off each week and if you fancy a treat have it .I have unsweetened grapejuice everymorning before my breakfast and I weigh myself every thursday and this will be my 3rd week having already lost 5lbs. So good luck you will certainly feel much better .I will post my weight loss to morrow on here .
I started my diet on Monday (it's always a Monday!) and have managed to stick to it so far, so I know how you feel. We can do it!! Good luck. Let me know how you get on x
I'll join you.I have had to get weight off for medical reasons and have now managed to lose 21 pounds in eight weeks.I am still slogging on with it .
I have to go and be weighed every two weeks at the doctors so this gives me the incentive.I wasn't drastically overweight and am quite tall so could get away with it up to a point but as summer is coming (hopefully) and we have to flash more flesh so to speak I am pleased to have lost those extra pounds.
My diet is from the doctor and it is basically low fat. So..I no longer eat all those delicious things like cakes, chocs, cream, butter, cheese, pies etc.
Porridge for breakfast ..fills you up until lunchtime. Slim a soup and a salad sandwich for lunch and loads of fruit and veg, no fatty stuff at all ..wholemeal instead of white bread.
Boring ,but at least I can fit into some of my clothes again.
I shall subscribe to this thread monroe and we can all starve together !
Good luck x

I don't think my doctor or midwife would be too happy, if I lost some kilos right now...

:o)

But I wish you all the best.

Find a friend to go running, cycling, swimming or (brisk) walking with two to three times a week.
It ususally helps, having fixed dates for things like that.

And now that spring is approaching, nothing's nicer that being outdoors.
Plus, just think about how good you'll look in your summer clothes, soon!

A good site for consistent/ immediate peer support and access to food diary, nutrition breakdowns, exercise advice etc:

3 day free trial, then it costs, but a good option for some people (like me!).

Thankyou all so much for the answers. I'm sure it will be a help if were all in this together. I have to go to work this evening but will get back to you tomorrow. (Alas I work as a cook in a restaurant so this is going to be extra hard for me).

Good luck with the baby Bohne. Perhaps you'll need our help after the birth.

I am also going to a wedding in July so I have an incentive too. My other problem is what to wear to a July wedding in London. I have been living in Spain for the last 15 years and here weddings are very dressy. However need to lose the weight first before doing the clothes shopping.

Thanks everyone. Keep posting.

I have only lost 1lb this week but I have put that down to living on Beechams powders and hot drinks all over the weekend as I had very bad cold so I am not going to let it get me down as it is a lb in the right direction. SHANEYSTAR2 you have done well i was hoping for 2-3lbs each week for a start and be looking here on mon whiskeysheri.
Ho monroe ..how is it going?
I have lost four more pounds as per my weigh in at the doctors yesterday.Altogether now I have gone from 92 kilos to 83 kilos.
In spite of a cake stuffing lapse in the week !
I am still soldiering on !
I hope the others haven't fallen by the wayside.
Take care x

Hi Shaneystar2. You are doing so well. You must be feeling really good now. I lost one kilo this week which, although better than nothing, is not really very good is it. I have got my brother and family staying with me this week, so I'm really going to try hard next week.
Hi monroe
Just checking up on you.Hope you are well and that the weight is coming off !
I am still slogging on and have now managed to lose two stone and weigh in at 79 kilos.Hooray ! I do feel much better for it and it has eased my arthritis considerably..no wonder I used to huff and puff so much ! But... still have to get more off according to the practice nurse but at least I am not in the "overweight " category on her chart anymore !
Take care
Shaney.

Thanks Shaneystar2 for keeping a check on me. Am still loosing but very slowly. 4 kilos in all and I have sooo much to loose. At least I'm going in the right direction I suppose. Iam trying though because I want to look and feel better for my nephews wedding in July. You are brilliant! Keep it up.

Kind Regards

Monroe
