Why as you age, does the hair on your head turn grey and the hair in your moles and places you would rather it didn't, grow thicker and blacker?

sometimes the hardest thing to do is to look at the things i do not like about myself . it is easy to see those things in other people but its hard to see them in me .

It doesn't always: my hair remains dark but my stubble is now grey...if I let it grow, I could have dark hair and a grey beard. All my other hair still seems to be dark though.
