yes. people fall in love with their idols, stars and more recently, over the net! without meeting them Lol!

I fancy someone I've never met! Happens easily. But we chat on phone, text, msn... We chat for hours on end sometimes! Easily done and its the personality that you fall for. :o)

Websurfer, people don't fall in love with celebrities, they just have a crush on them. I think there certainly needs to be some form of comuncation, but not necessarily physical. If two people chat via text/e-mail/whatever, I definitely think it's possible. For me, personality is a lot more important than looks, and someone's personality should come over in that communcation.

I think the reason people fall in love so easily (or think they do) with people they haven't met is because in the real world when you meet someone, you do for a drink, go to dinner, see a movie. Time is occupied with other things. You can watch a movie and not have to talk. But when you meet someone online all you can do to fill your time together is talk. Communicate. Bond. I think this is why I get on well with alot of people I have met online coz all I do is communicate with them. Plus you end up telling them things that you wouldn't just tell anyone. But also.. it means the relationship moves on alot quicker and in a normal relationship when you get to a point where you can just sit and be comfortable in eachothers company, you find that you can't do that with the person you haven't met as you need to talk. You can't sit on the phone in silence!!! I am talking from experience. :o)

What's your definition of "Fall for someone"? Sure you can become fascinated, infatuated, obsessed, lustful, intrigued and full of admiration for someone you've never met. But if you're talking about love & never actually meeting them, well thats just a bit of a one sided fantasy isnt it. I've no doubt that love comes in all different forms, but true love surely involves a lot more time, interraction and reciprocation rather than just observing someone from afar. My experience also comes from supposedly falling in love with people I have got to know online, then actually meeting them, forming a relationship and having it fizzle out after a few months. Nothing beats actually getting to know a whole person, not just how they edit themselves to you & vice versa online.

I fell in love with somoen I had never met , he had never met me either and he felt the same way .
So much so , he sold everything he had , gave up his job , and moved to scotland to be with me.
And when we met at the airport that day , yup it was the first time we set eyes on each other.

I fell in love with a stripper about 10 years ago.....1st time I saw her in action (so to speak)...it was a month later that i actually spoke to her...Id already named our children by then !

unfortunately I blew my chances by puttin my foot in my mouth so it never happed.
