My wife and I are trying for a baby so she has stopped taking the pill.

Now, we know that her cycle can be messed up for a while but for how long? Its been 4 months since she stopped and has had 1 period.

As far as we know she isn't pregnant as she has done a few home tests.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Many thanks in advance.

i think it just depends on each person. when i come off the pill it didn't take me that long to get back to normal, but i had the injection in feb last year, stopped having it in about june and i'm only just getting back to normal now. still keep trying though, i got pregnant just by accidently missing one pill, so if it's meant to happen, it will. and relax, i know lots of people who had been trying desperatly for years and nothing, then when they gave up trying they got pregnant. good luck.
it took me a year to conceive after stopping the pill it will take a while for her cycle to regulate, this is completely normal. so lie back and enjoy trying x

It took me 8 months to get pregnant after stopping the pill the first time..for my second baby I simply missed one pill & WHAM!

I agree it depends on the person ~ just relax & enjoy the trying part..the more agitated your wife gets the worse it may be..good luck & have fun ;o)
