clothes dilema

I never used to worry about how I dressed. But now in my 40's always a bit worried I may look like mutton dressed as lamb! So would white jeans be too young on someone in their 40's? (trivial question)

If you look like Lulu (who is much older than you) - no.

If you look like Janice Battersby - yes.

More to do with attitude than age, I think.

If you feel comfortable in white jeans - wear them.

I think it depends what you wear the white jeans with - go with something a bit classy (not all cleveage), maybe a nice belt etc and I think it'll look great. Im 37 and I would like to think Im quite fashionable but being on the latter side of 30, I dont try to wear what the young girls wear but also I dont feel the need to dress like my mum either lol :-) xx

I agree Maggie - follow the golden rule - legs or cleavage on show,never both at the same time - and you wont go far wrong.x

Just pretty much average size. And not a flirty dresser anyway. So never have cleveage on show. Just wanted a change from wearing blue jeans, and felt I needed a bit of a change. xx

I don't think white jeans would look wrong on somebody in their 40's as personally I think 40's is still very young nowadays. However, it's like any attire and any age, you just have to do it in a way that suits you. I.e. I have chubby legs, so there is no way I would ever go and wear skinny fit jeans as I would upset myself and anybody within the nearest 100 yards even more...If you wore them with a really nice top and some cool accessories, I think they would look nice and summery.

You sound like me....I'm 51 & I'm always asking my sister whether I'm too old to wear some things. She usually says yes you old trollop but wear it anyway....hehe....

If they suit your shape & personality then wear them....just don't do head to foot in white, the forensics look is just
