Bit gross - sorry...
My brother (37) has a yucky looking big toe nail - it's sort of yellowish and 'crinkled' along the top edge. Now, i'm sure i saw an advert on tv for some wonder pill/cream for the treatment of this (whatever 'this' is) some time ago, but i can't remember what it was called.
Can anyone help, please?

Foot creams don't work on the fungus once it has infected the nail(s). Although, foot creams do help prevent the fungus from spreading from the bottom of the feet to the nails.
The most effective treatment is the pill which works on the infection through the blood. The pill's name is Lamisil and there isn't a generic version of it yet so it can be expensive unless you order it online.
It used to be that you had to take a pill a day for three months but some doctors have recently found that they get the same cure rate with a pill a day for 7 days every three months for 12 to 15 months. That reduces the pill count to between 28 and 35 rather than the 91 pills otherwise. That's a 65% savings in the cost of the medicine.
