is it appropriate
The company I work for is very hot on Diversity, Equal Opportunities etc. which I totally agree with. We've always been told we cannot, under any circumstances have pictures of half-naked men on our walls in the office (we're female). I'm okay with that too - I don't want male colleagues to display half-naked females on their walls.
However, my company has just opened a library. Really good idea, with lots of informative information. However, they have subscribed to a gay magazine which, along with real-life, interesting stories, has half-naked pictures of men, along with more explicit pictures covered by the traditional clover leaf. The magazine advertises gay sex, includes numbers for gay sex lines etc.
I, personally, have a subscription with a well-known magazine for women but I know they wouldn't have this because of the sexual content (even though it's not much).
My thoughts are (god I'm in for some criticism) that whether you're straight, gay or lesbian, sexual activities shouldn't come into it where work's concerned. It's a way of life and whilst I don't go to work telling everyone what I do in bed with my husband, I don't expect gays or lesbians want to be seen any differently.
What do you think? Are you with someone of the same sex and do you think I'm wrong to think this is taking things too far and (perhaps) embarrassing the gay community?

I'm in my mid thirties and have two daughters and admit I'm slightly old fashioned. Younger heads may have no problem with the situation at your place of employment.
*equal* where does the equal opportunities come in?
are you planning set a precedent for the hetorosexuals? in your work place? and have your magazine placed in the library?
you're right.... sex has no place in the work place per se.. we, in casinos, were not allowed to even work togther if we were a couple....
