You're welcome Alice. I haven't met anyone in the flesh but I am chatting to some really nice people right now and one guy in particular has me in stitches. He really is so funny and we get on well but he lives quite far away. Doesn't matter though. At least I made a friend. :o)

I am on dating direct, it's good as you have to speak by email, so you don't get sleazy guys sending instant messages when they are feeling randy.

I have been signed up just over 2 weeks and am talking to someone I had an email from the first day, hopefully will go out with him in the next couple of weeks.

Also sign up for more than 1 month, so you can be choosy and take your time getting to know them.

I have tried dating direct. I met up with 3 men (arranged to meet two others who cancelled at the last minute, grrrrrr)who were nice enough but not for me.

I'm having a break from it at the moment as I got very disheartened by the whole thing. As its all done via messages there is just no etiquette about replying. I am guilty of ignoring some people, but I just got fed up of never having any replies to my messages. Has anyone else found this too? Or just me?! I found you have to put in a lot of effort to get much out of it.

Its worth a go though, I'm sure I'll go back to it at some point. Good luck if you go for it!
