Not sure if this is the right section - it may be moved!
Anyway, how do you know when you are drinking too much? What is too much? Is it the medical guidelines,or is there a general amount that most people would say is way too much?
By the way,I obviously mean alcohol and not soft drinks!

Then it's Friday (as soon as I finish work til close) and Saturday (sometimes all day). Sometimes go down for 2 or 3 on Sunday if there is a decent game on. Ditto Mon and Thurs evenings.
If I am drinking alone at home i tend to drink less, especially if my grandson is around, if I go to my blokes house I get really really bladdered cos he makes such strong mixes. Now there have been occasions in the past where I have had a drink at his and really not been well at all. I don't trust him to make my drinks these days. Funny though, when i am on hols in an all inclusive, I usually start drinking at about 11am and drink all day and all nightand never really feel too drunk.
I agree Dot - we went all inclusive last year, and drank all day and eve, though I had just lager in day as it was refreshing, then spirits in the eve as local wine was foul. But I seemed to handle it better than when I just drink in eve at home - very strange! Dont drink spirits at home as its so easy to pour huge measures, and just gulp then down if they have coke or orange juice in them.I drink wine a bit slower.
I'll tell you what is a good benchmark for deciding if you drink too much, check out the recycle bin you have to put outside in the street every 2 weeks! That's when you really feel it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My two lads drink lager and cider and they have lots of mates in most nights, you should see what this family recycle in those bins and boxes!!!!!!!!! We are (incredibly) not the fullest bins in the street either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
