After that, the more I moved about, got back to a normal life, the faster things got better. I think by 6 months after I was noticeably better, a year after I was lots better. It took a while for my back to sort of 'free up' and settle back down after being messed about. I'd suffered from back problems for so long, my back had developed a curve, but even that has mostly straightened out, several years on.
As to the back pain/sciatica I was suffering, that disappeared almost immediately after the op.
Best thing I ever did! There was a risk, but for me it paid of wonderfully.
