Painful Sex

Has any females experienced painful sex, as if your being stabbed in your stomach? I approached a nurse about this and wondered if my "you know what" was too small for my partner, but she says there is no such thing, so she took some swabs which came back fine. I dont know why this always happens, maybe Im not compatible with my partner?

there's a good chance you're not turned on enough when you start having sex. Try more foreplay or use a lubricant like KY Jelly or something.

Your nurse is being misleading. You can be too small for your partner, but it's highly unlikely. Unless he's exceptionally well endowed you should be fine. To say there's no such thing isn't true.

your vagina is more accommodating than you may think but if he's got quite a large penis and like kazzianne said is going at it too vigorously, then it could be banging against your cervix, which isn't very comfortable at the best of times! Try some different positions too.

And like morrisonker said, use plenty of lube!!

Hi.....my GF used to complain about that (stabbing pain) and has just been diagnosed with Endometriosis (she did have other pains). Its one of the symtoms of the condition. It could be nothing to worry about but its worth speaking to your GP. If you have other abdonimal pains, IBS type symptoms, painfull/heavy periods or bladder/passing water pains then its important to get your self check out as soon as possible as it could be Endometriosis. It can only be diagnosed by a Laparoscopy (a minor, 1 day op)

I had this about 4 years ago. It was the most terrible pains in my stomach. I went to docs and ended up getting referred to hospital. I had a camera put in my belly button to see what was happening. The results were astonishing if not embarrassing. it turned out that the reason for the pain was that my bowel was full when i had sex. the pressure of sex on it was causing the pain (hurt most with me on top). this my be the case with you

yeah, me too!

I always tell him we have to wait at least 2 hours after me eating a meal.

Hey rishyrish, sometimes what that can be is a tilted uterus, You would feel the most pain around your period date (up to 10 days before) and during deep penetration, (behind, knees by your shoulders)

You probably wont get referred for a Laparoscopy if you don't have other symptoms of endometriosis.

It could be Vaginismus, which causes involuntary and painful contraction of the vagina, making sex painful. This is usually seen as more of a psychological than physiological disorder.

What were you swabbed for? Could be an STI causing the pain...

And I agree with Morrisonker; you need plenty lubrication and a guy who doesn't go hammer and tongs.

He could be just really horny and his penis could get hard. So its not you. believe me it does hurt if he is horny.

The swabs were for sti's, she thought an sti might be causing the pain.

But they came back negative, so I couldnt understand why I had the pain
