Birth signs - an apology

On a recent thread about birth signs, I mentioned that I have been doing a course in doing personality readings and seemed to be reasonable good at it. I offered to do personalised readings if people would give me their birthdate and place of birth.

Honestly though, I didn't do it to embarass you or Dot or whatever. I was interested to know if I could get away with it and I thought people would probably find it interesting at the least and possibly it might enlighten others.

Anyway, Forer's test - which the students thought was based on a personality test, not horoscopes, shows that about 85% of people are succeptible to this kind of thing. I'm sure I could be fooled given the right circumstances, just not if it were presented as a astrology since I know that's a great big load of cack!

trouble with horoscopes is that the constellations... don't exist, so they're a pretty unstable base for character assessments.
