Presumably the benefits bit is having sex.It's a nice idea,but I don't think it could it ever happen.Friendship is one thing and sex would surely unbalance the friendship and turn it into something more.You can't isolate sex from those other feelings.

I've been there and it's great, as long as you both feel the same and want the same relationship. I had to tell my mate that he was being an ar5e because he was starting to treat me the same way he treated other girls. He said sorry and we both laughed about it, got on great after that. Thing is, because he was a good friend of mine I didnt feel awkward or embarassed just getting him told

Mycats- thats how I feel. I have this friend that I've know for several years and he's just fantastic. We have so much incommon...but there isn't any attraction there because we have always been friends. We started sleeping together a year ago when I was apart from my bf. Now it has officially ended with my bf,...so we're back to messin' around. It's a blast ;) I just wanted to hear others opinions and stories....cheers xx

Go for it dancealot!! Nothing wrong with having fun ;-) I stopped sleeping with my mate when I got a new boyfriend, but dont regret it all and we are still good mates

I have had sex with all my friends (males excluded). It is essential to have slept with your friends.Otherwise you don't have that special bond.

NO but I always end up sleeping with my friends.It means you have done everything with them and therefore there is more honesty between us.It makes them more special to you.

Its all ok until you meet someone you wnt to actually have a relationship with, or they do. Either it just stops there which makes all the sexual tension you normally have very frustrated or you carry on and risk ruining the relationship you actually want or you stop being friends.

Its great when you are going through a dry spell but I suppose it depends on how much you value your friendship.

Totally agree.If I saw a woman I wanted to have a proper relationship with I would NEVER sleep with her until 6 months at least.Just a bit of advice dancealot13 this title looks as if you are asking what people think of having a friend on the dole(benefits).

i had a friend with benefits!! he didn't last as a friend for long - he is now my husband!! but he was my best mate for ages then my best mate with benefits then we fell in love. 7 yrs and 2 kids later here we are!!
