Great if you want to add extra vengeance by burning their house down. And of course if you want to be really evil (which, as you say, you are not) then substitute the 'liquid' of choice with your own urine.
You might think that dropping the remote control in strong bleach might work ? No, it doesn't. I threw away a busted DVD player and used its remote control for stirring tea cloths bleaching in the sink, as well as the other things you can use a remote for in the kitchen. Realising after a week that it was the remote control for the new set-top digibox I'd bought but not bothered to set up, I was resigned to buying a new one - but no, it works perfectly !!
A good ploy for TVs and keyboards is very strong Bovril drink.
rabbits - Ram a piece of silver paper or cooking foil into the arial socket and tamp it down flat so it can't be seen. That'll stop any signal from being received. When the set's returned as not working, pick out the foil and carry on watching your favourite programmes. Sneaky!
Alfiebrady - Alas, your magnet will only distort the picture for so long as the magnet's in place. Won't harm the screen.
