Hiya everyone!

I've just started dating a guy (for a couple of weeks). I knew him pretty well before we started dating. His birthdays coming up, so do I need to get him a present? What do I get? Its so difficult!

Thanks x

a car
why not organise a day out somewhere, or tickets to a gig as his gift? that way you both get the fun and it stops any awkwardness
no buy him a car...a flash one at that...he'll love u forever if u do.

Have you got a birthday coming up or something Zeus?

Dropping a pretty big hint there!!

Joko's idea of a day/evening out sounds good - failing that, if you can cook, have him around to your place for a nice meal one evening (not necessarily on the birthday itself). Well, you did say you knew him "pretty well" ha ha.
A silk tie (that is if he wears ties!)

Hi,

I had only been seeing my guy for 3 days before it was his birthday and was in the same situation.. I thought about it and decided how would I feel if it was the other way roound -and yes I would have wanted a small gift from him..

So, as he has a marine aquarium I thought that i would get him something for that - thought that that wasn't good enough, go got a pair of Calvins and some aftershave.. this proved to be a hit and we have now been together for 19months (living together for 18) and he has since said that he was really chuffed that I had thought to get him something after such a short time !!??

OK, not THAT well, but he's a friend. Don't quite think I could afford a car, but a night out or something could work! Keep going though, I need all the help I can get!
Definately to arrange a date at a gig or similar (as long as it's something he likes) would impress me, the biggest compliment of all is that you are wanting to spend time with him. Especially if all the arrangements are made by you and he doesn't need to do diddly. Plus it's not too full on.
Just some bits that are fun - maybe a cd he likes and some chocolate (for you too!!)
