Hiya, with me it is the other way around, i never trust the mirrors in fitting rooms and always go by my instincts, I usually just buy something and if it doesn't work i take it back,.
It is all to do with the lighting. It is for the same reason that you look great in nightclubs! The mirrors are tampered with so you look thinner, and the lights are all spotlighty and glossy, making the colours look amazing. In the cold light of day everything looks as it really is...
I'm with Dot. I usually hate clothes on me in the shops. But I'm quite good at telling if something is well made and a good cut, so I'll buy it and when I get home and try it on it looks brilliant!
Mind you, more often than not it's down to me wearing the wrong footwear etc. in the changing rooms. If I go out wearing trainers and try on evening dresses with my trainer socks on the look just isn't going to work, is it?
ARRRRGGHHHH!!!!!! I can't change my font colour!!!!! :'o(
It's either a mechanism to persuade us to reduce the debts on our credit cards or take off those extra pounds in weight which we've been promising we would do for ages.
In either case, just be grateful that a few extra pounds remain in our bank. !!
