I agree about the Irish thing. My parents are irish and I visit often. I love the place, but it is right to remind people that Ireland is full of Catholic guilt, you just have to look back on all the priests that have been found to have abused children, and the nuns who have locked up innocent girls since the age of seven - or should I say the Church.
I think every religion in its own right is the guilty party and not the person!
