Ok so I understand that the mothers egg is placed inside you and then the blokes sperm is inseminated and you basically just an oven for the baby but is there anything that would come actually from the carrier and be passed on?
i'm talking about this with my friend at the mo and we were on the understanding that egg & sperm were put in test tube, babies or zygotes grown and then they were put(?) into surrogate mum, so apart from the 9 months of 'baking' its all the parents
Yer see I said that its all parents to my mate but they said the babies blood must be from carrier. But surely the babies blood cells are made from the egg therefore being the parents blood too.
surely you make sure they were no genetic disease or disorder of the male and female before you proceed, things like heart disease aids, skin problems blood disorders, blindness and deafness, autism i could go on forever but everything you could think of must be chacked inluding intelligence, to make sure you have a normal healthy baby.
Yer all I can think of is oxygen and food. And the blood type must come from the mother and father as they have made the egg. and I'm not wuite sure where you are coming from devilwoman, but I'm sure any normal pregnancy would want that too. But any genetic disorders would come from the mother and father and nothing to do with the carrier.
The genetic make up is purely from the donors the blood is made by the baby itself, the only contact with surrogate is through the nutrients and fliud that comes through the placenta. There is nothing of the surrogate present in the child after a few days after birth, anything there was, was only from the normal feeding mechanism whilst in the womb. Essientially it's "rent a womb"
