Well I was going to post a runny reply about pols and pools, but it is so hot here I've lost my sense of humour.

my patience and temper are at a less tolerant level in this heat You always have to keep your No.2 Dot or else you lose your No. 4!!!!! I have a paddling pool in the garden, does that count for having a "pool"?????

I don't do too well in the heat but I can't say any of the above options apply in my case, I just seem to take great pleasure in telling everyone how hot it is! - as if they don't know already!

LOL Dot! I would have to say 5 but I do try to keep 2 whenever possible.
May I also add that I wish I could lose my sense of smell when the weather is like this? I have to go to the shops in a bit and it's all I can do to not sneak deodorant into many peoples shopping trolleys as it's obviously never been on their shopping lists!

Now than Ed dear, no need to be condescending, we do our best to lower the tone but only to a level acceptable to the majority. is it Hot where u are? By the way, where is the monastery? i would have thought it would be quite cool within those thick walls today.

Definitely my patience. Followed very shortly by my temper and sense of humour. I do last about 20 minutes in the sun before all of this occurs mind. So I'm not too bad for a woman of my celtic-pastey-whiteness.

my energy i think, did'nt have much before but now in this heat i just flop about with the fan in front of me, roll on autumn thats when i come alive.

yes it is hot at night too, i agree it can be too much, i pity any poor souls who are pregnant thru this, i had an August baby in 1981 and I was in hospital for 4 weeks before hand as i had Odema and i was so poorly with the heat.

Have just been given a good tip to help keep cool(er). If you have a fan to keep you cool then stand a bottle of frozen water in front of it and the air that it blows towards you will be cooler!! Gonna have to try this soon!!!!!!
