I was round a friends house i couple of weeks back and in my sleep she decided to hack away at my hair, (we'd had an argument b4 i fell asleep).
i now have a thin layer underneath thats below my shoulders and a thick layer on top whcih is about 5 inches shorter :(.
my fringe now doesnt go with the cut and it just looks awful. i can't do anything with it. I had to miss my prom because of it. the problem is my dads getting married in september and Im supposed to be a bridesmaid.

anyone have any ideas of what i could do? I'm a 16 yr old girl and I'm deffinately not hacking it all off to the same length

Only joking. That must be awful. Surely the best bet is to go to a hairdresser and explain. They're the professionals and should be able to have a good look, and offer suggestions. Good luck.

You could always make it a fancy dress wedding and go as the bloke from Slade

Get the thin layer cut to the same length as the thick layer.

Or even simpler, pop to your local hairdresser and say, "Can you sort out my mullet please?".

You'll have to go to a decent hairdresser and get them to sort it for you... But I think your mate should pay half, that's a really horrid thing she did! Good Luck xx

you can either cut the long thin layer off - you say that most of your hair is now a shorter length - or else go to a hairdressers and have a total restyle,which I think is the best option.

thx for all the advice, Im scared the stylists are gunna be like nope cut it off... i'd be like nooooo. but yea in repy to 4getmenot..... I dont talk to her anymore, I havent had an apology or anything either.

Go to a hairdressers for advice. In fact go to a few and get a variety of opinions. What are you doing about your "friend"? At the very least she should pay for the cut.

Shivvy - I had long hair halfway down my back,then 2 months ago I had a mental moment and went in haidressers and had it all chopped off!! Its only chin lenght now - and I love it!!
And everybody thinks it looks ten times better so go for it!

I agree with the others - go ask a professional what they can do.
perhaps layer the shorter layer on top into the rest of it, and jsut have the main length cut by a couple inches. as for the frings, you prob don't have time to grow it out much, but there is always the option to pin it back just on the top and curl the rest of your hair - that would look v pretty and you should have time to grow it long wnough to clip back by september?
