Aww, loopy, I really feel for you. I would have wanted to punch her too. Unfortunately, if she does press charges then she's got the edge on you. I suggest that if she goes to the police then you may as well make it worth your while and go around and punch her a few more times!! Seriously though, if she does press charges then before you confess everything to the police ask them for their advice and what they think will happen. You could always play down the situation. Say you slapped her instead of punching her for example.

now, since she's guilty of something so heinous, hopefully she won't call the police as she's guilty of bullying a child.
Have you sort legal advice about taking this woman to court? she is causing psychological damage to your child and that is not on!
I believe it comes under common assault, even though it is not physical.

Good on you loopyc.
i reckon worst ways your get a caution from the police, tho as other post have pointed out, she may thing twice as you and the school are aware of her behaviour.
I can't stand bullies, and yes i would defend my children even if it meant hitting someone, i believe in dealing with it the diplomatic way, but every so often you come across a parent who's just come of the jeremy kyle show, and the only language these people no are either abuse or violence, well with me they will meet their match in any such way they wish, i'm not gloryfying violence, but sometimes their is no alternative
