mixed race hair type

My daughter is mixed race and has lovely hair . I put moisturisng lotion on it and twist the hair into ringlets for special occasions - other times I put it up in a high ponytail . Sometimes though I would love to have it straighter - and longer - but not permanently. Is there anything I can try -blow drying is definitely out.

My friend used to iron her hair. Not sure it was good for it though!

GHD straighteners are brilliant, and as long as you don't use too frequently, and use a heat protection spray they shouldn't do too much harm. My best friend is mixed race and by her own admission doesn't have lovely hair, she cried with joy the first time she used them!!
