excessive facial sweating

Hi,does any-one know of any herb or medication that can help cure or slow down excessive facial sweating.
Any help would be appreciated.

Spiderglen - Is it just on your face? Are you on any medication? Are you overweight or have other pre-exisiting medical condition?

Hi,yes I`m over weight,but I go to the gym 5 days a week for 2 hrs a day,my heart rate keeps low . Even when I lost my weight a few years ago,I still sweated from my scalp & face.I do sweat on my back aswell But that doesn`t bother me,When I sweat from my face & cown I get embaressed & it seems to increase my sweating.The worst thing about it is I don`t like going to social events & if I do I have to take a towel to wipe myself with,which is also embaressing.Please can anyone help.

I went to the doctors for excessive facial sweating & he gave me AMITRIPTYLINE 10mg TABLETS,will these work,because there are a lot of side effects & if they don`t work I`m putting my health at risk.I`ve been looking on the NET & it doesn`t say anything about them treating excessive sweating.
