It is very hot where I work as it is an old building with no air conditioning and plate glass windows and the sun shines thru them most of the day. Why does every other customer have to TELL ME it is hot in there, I know it is i am stuck there, at least they can choose to go elsewhere like next door to the air conditioned M&S. Do they think moaning at me will make me suddenly pull and entire airt con system out of my arse?????!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR
I would rather be in the loft like I was this morning than face all those feet, Stay cool in all this heat dot, when you can't sleep do you count toes or bunions ????
It's true the British are obsessed with the weather - I have had emails all week from friends in the UK telling me how hot it is there - It has been 40 degrees (daytime) and around 35 (nightime) here for weeks - and we have had no rain for over a month. But take heart you have rain forecast after tomorrow - then they'll all be moaning about that!!!
Ray! You cheeky monkey! I was having a moment when I saw Dot's post and wanted to ramble on about the heat! I have however since cooled down and now know that my moaning over a part-time job in this heat was very petty of me, I apoligise.
.... bet the kitchen was hotter than a loft! :oP hee hee hee
I know Bee but these dozy women seemed to be blaming me for the heat in the shop!!!!!!!!!!! like i was purposefully avoiding trying to make it any cooler!!!!!!!!!!! It was a typical gripe from a certain type of customer that thinks we should all bow and scrape to them cos they think we are 'in service'; to them and we have no right even thinking we are as good as them! Gfrrrrrrrrrr I've got all wound up again now thinking about it!!!!!
Hi wingnut, take no notice of me I am a miserable old git, I bet the kitchen was hotter than the loft,I went home lunch time, had a shower, then sat under a tree down by the river, take care dear wingnut XX
I am beginning to think I am the only person in this country that isnt suffering with the heat. I am loving it. I especially like that comforting breeze of hot air you get when you walk round a corner. It also gives me an excuse to eat a sparkle lolly every day.
If I knew where you worked Dot, I would bring you in an ice cold frappuccino to help you get thru your day.
you wouldn't want to come in there Goodsoulette but thanks anyway!!!!!!!! it was 92% anywhere on the shop fl;oor today apart from in front of the free standing fan!!!!!!!!!! We can leave the floor for a chilled cup of water at any time, but it hits you like a wall when you return to the dept.
Oh well, at least i have my hols to look forward to.
Awwwww Ray!!!! You sweetie!!!! I'm pretty sure it was much worse where you were working than me :o)
