It is very hot where I work as it is an old building with no air conditioning and plate glass windows and the sun shines thru them most of the day. Why does every other customer have to TELL ME it is hot in there, I know it is i am stuck there, at least they can choose to go elsewhere like next door to the air conditioned M&S. Do they think moaning at me will make me suddenly pull and entire airt con system out of my arse?????!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Lol Dot! Tell me about it! I work in a kitchen and every single person who has come in has said
"Ooo it's hot in here, hotter than outside"
No frikkin kidding! It's a kitchen! There's 2 big ovens and a industrial sized steamer going full pelt! and all we're allowed to keep cool is to have the door open, which has a fly curtain up which blocks all the breeze coming thru anyway!
A few sausages nearly got thrown at people this morning I can tell you! .... not by me you understand :o)

im the opposite, i work in a cold room, selling fresh food, but if anymore customers tell me....your in the best place......lol.....im gonna poke them in the eye ! lol.

the best place is sitting outside with a cold drink or ice cream........doing nothing !!

i work on a reception desk and a large number of the staff comment every day on the weather/temperature. Normally it is 'Oh it is wet/cold out there' or now the moan is how hot it is. I have good airconditioning so they have to comment on how nice and cool it is and how lucky I am (to be stuck in work!). I dont mind a bit of chat from people but just gets a bit repetitive sometimes hearing this from on average 100 people in the morning - then the same people who comment on the way in say the same to me again at lunchtime. Plus I am aware they are never happy. Beginning to think they want the glorious weather to go away and the cold and rain to come back!

It's what British folk do...talk about the weather. it's not an attempt to make your life seem even more unbearable than the heat already makes it seems guys, they're just talking about the weather, as you do :o) and hey Dot, at least it was only every OTHER customer lol hope you're able to chill now you're home xx

well kick it is the tone they use and the faces they pull when they talk down to me like i am to blame for the whole heatwave and discomfort.

It usually takes me a few hours to wind down once I get home after being at work 10 hours, i just need a bit of distraction i think!!!

i couldnt agree more, people have said all day to me "its hot isnt it its hot isnt it" so much so i snapped today and said really? is that why the sweat is pishing out of me and even lifting a pen feels like a huge effort? i know its hot i really do know its hot its hot because its hot and maybe because its summer? and i have to work in it because i cant lie on my ass all day under a tree i am a simple taxpayer trying to survive i cant help thats its hot it just is and im perfectly capable of recognising its hot

odd but the heat in Jamaica won't bother me in the slightest lol, Nor did the heat in Antigua, Cuba or Cancun, cheers Roberto u just made me realise why i do not envy those who lie about all day (except B00 cos she is lovely and has a lovely wee babe to look after and seems so happy with Mr B00) xx
