Just to be clear, i am not saying anything/have not said anything about dots son at all! I am not saying i dont care about her son, i am not saying that potentially saving her sons life wasn't anything but great I cant really understand why everyone has got their knickers ina twist, making me out to be a monster ... Sometimes it seems to me that everybody (including me) has an attitude that it's ok to post chatty type threads, or non question threads, or blatenly just singling out others for moaning at as long as it's someone you like/know doing it! I assure you, i'm not discriminatory in the peoples posts i report!

I report threads too, but not indiscriminately.

If there is a thread that is genuine, I will not report it. Ed had made it very clear that she does not mind chatty threads, so I have given up on reporting those. I only report abusive or offensive posts now.

What i would really hate would be if other people felt they could not report things/say anything if they didn't belong to a group who knows each other ... From very simple beginings i seem to have been completely villified over this post, (i mean, honsetly, who am i? how dare i be critsizing people who post non questions on a question and answer site Shocking!) Clearly i am a cold heartless person who couldn't give a stuff about people's ill sons!

Nothing new there, it was amongst probably 2 -3 more similiar ones. IT GOT BANNED !! Why? WTF had I done to deserve that? Nobody elses (non-Q) post disappeared.

I didn't/haven't reported your thread about your son - just pointed out that there may be other reasons for reporting posts, other than what you've assumed

I still dont think that making posts in b+s about how low you think other users have sunk is a particularly valid use of ab, and to be honest seems a bit unworthry of you dot.hawkes
