i seem to be allergic to metal all and any sort exept gold is this possible?

I can't even wear yellow gold (hideous story from having my ears pierced but I won't grace you all with that!!) though for some reason white gold is ok and so is sterling silver and surgical steel. Belt buckles, jeans etc are all a big no no. Bra's are the worst - the metal bits on the straps drive me insane!!!!!
I've had this since I was a kid, had hayfever for as long as I can remember, am severely allergic to a lot of fruit (among many other things!!), have bite allergies and have just been diagnosed with asthma - and I'm only 22!!! I totally sympathise with you all - wouldn't life be so much easier without allergies!!!

And strangely enough some white gold has more nickel in it than others..
My wedding ring is white gold. I wanted one when I got married the first time round(almost 20 years ago) , but was advised against it by the jeweller as it had a far greater quantity of nickel in it. I was informed last year that this is no longer the case, so I now have the wedding ring I always wanted :o)

nikce to know were not alone in the great nickel debate then i have to do the clear nail polish routine too and can relate to almost everything that Lore said although not really got hayfever but have had chronic asthma for about twenty years. not worn a watch for years either ,cant use perfumed products on face at all
