Why did you get so bl00dy worked up when '4getmenot', ever so politely mentioned that people normally post their thanks on the original post? nat thats the thing half these abers arent being rude, just telling her to add it to end of post as more people will see it and to thank all no matter what there answers are for there time as she's new she didnt know :-) It is all sorted :-)

I am sorry but I dont know where this idea of there being an etiquette about putting a thank you on the end of a thread. If it is a question that invites a factual answer and is done and dusted I guess a simple thank you after the correct reply is fine. If it is something that is rather more elongated and perhaps requiring a more detailed response from the OP then a separate thread is totally appropriate, I haven't been aware of any issues with the posting of thank yous on here in all the time I have been a member, users can decide for themselves when where and how to be appreciative. :) morning,

I agree Dot... many Q's get answered all day long on AB and if we are all going to go around posting 'Thanks' after it then thats just stupid! We should have a 'Thank you' category as well then!!!!! Jeeez!
