This question may seem daft! I use grapseed oil on my skin as a mosituriser (like baby oil, just without the chemicals) but i was wondering if by rubbing oil into your skin, it can make you put on weight. If by rubbing it into the skin im doing the same as i would be by eating it then its quite scary! hope sum1 can help. xxx

No, you would have to actually ingest the oil for it to make you put on any weight. Although grapeseed oil is one of the few oils that can actually penetrate your skin, rather than just sit on the surface, which is why it's used as a carrier oil in aromatherapy, there's no worry of it travelling to your tum to be digested!

I'm a nutritionist, and there would be a hell of a lot of fat beauty therapists in the world if it could!
