Spooky picture

Not quite sure where this should go but here goes anyway. My dad emailed me a collection of pictures of me from when I was a baby until my wedding pictures (some shockers in there !) and he pointed out one which neither him nor my mum had noticed before. There was a picture of me at around 18 months old on a baby swing in my house and over my right shoulder there is a ghostly figure of a little girl with blondey brown hair , big piercing blue eyes and she's the double of my three year old daughter. Even my brother and sister agree that she looks like my daughter. My parents swear that they hadn't taken any pictures at the time of a little girl who looked like that (I was thinking of a crossover in pictures) so I can't explain that. (You would have to know what my daughter looks like and see the picture to really know what I mean) Do you have any unexplained ghostly pictures or has anything spooky happened to you ?

Yes, something similar happened to an ex of mine years ago. They had their film developed and when it came back a few of the photos were double-exposed and you could make out photos of his cousin and his wife. The photographs weren�t that old and nobody could explain how on earth they had gotten hold of the film in the first place as they didn�t see their cousin all that often. It was all really bizarre, but probably just one of those unknown incidents where the film ended up in their hands and they hadn�t realised it had already been used.

If the image looks like your daughter then it probably is. It�s certainly the logical explanation.

I don't see how that could be though Champagne , when this was a picture of me which was taken in the seventies and my daughter was only born in 2003. The picture had already been developed long before my daughter's birth , so how could my daughter have got into a picture at a time when she wasn't even born ?

Redcrx - I'm not sure if I really want to post a picture on here to be honest. The girl as I said looks like my daughter and I never , ever post pics of my kids on the net. Too many nutters about (not you of course) and I like to maintain a degree of anonymity. Sorry.

ah thats fine. If it is that clear to be a pic of your daughter then fair enough.
I just thought that if it was just an old pic of something unusual then you may want to show us what you were describing.
You could always send it to a paranormal investigations group for further investigation. Some can tell straight away if it is just 2 pictures overlapped.

Sorry Redcrx. It's just it is a clear shot of her features and i'm just a bit wary about posting that. Much as I am tempted to , I just never post my kids pics. I hope you understand why.

She just seems to be hovering to one side of me and it's quite spooky ! That's a great idea about the paranormal investigator . Don't want to seem like a fruit loop though ! I'm sure it must be an overlap of some sort but she is just the exact double of my daughter and my parents can't remember any friend's children looking like her and it's certainly not a family member in the picture. As I said , the picture was developed in the seventies and my daughter wasn't born until 2003 so it definitely wasn't an overlap from a picture taken of her. I just wonder who the little girl is. My daughter must have a double somewhere !

Oh my god I hadnt even read that enigma, hadnt been on the site for ages. Its bad enough losing 1 member of a family but 3, thats awful.

This happened quite some time ago.
A widower took a picture of his late wife's gravestone.
He had the picture developed (there were no other frames taken from that film reel).

The photo showed his wife standing by the graveside...

I know 4getmenot , you don't expect to outlive your kids and to lose one is bad enough but to lose two daughters and your baby grandson in a horror smash is completely incomprehensible. I read the full message but it was when I saw the pictures of his daughters two hours before the crash , smiling away and the family snaps with the baby , that I really filled up. What a tragedy. So sad.

Hiya Noodles. Where have you been hiding ? I came back to the threads you had popped into to say hello and you abandoned me. *sob*. You just left me wahhhhhhhh. I wondered where you were hiding lol ! I didn't see that thread but that IS spooky. That's exactly what I mean , things that seem to defy logic. You know that there should be a logical explanation but you struggle to find it. Good example.

All sounds very mysterious N00dles. I thought that restoring your previous ID would have been pretty straightforward if it is not being used by anyone else. Hmmm. You've got me intrigued now ! Enigma - oooh, it gets a bit complicated. Guy called Henry has the time traveller gene. he cant control where or when he time travels to or when he does it (usually stress related). he goes back at one point in his life and meets his wife when she is 6 yrs old. He then returns at various stages of his wife's childhood (at different ages himself) so when she meets him in a library when she's around 20 she already knows him. (he has no idea who she is as he hasn't actually started time-travelling to her past yet) but they get together and it's about their lives are already merged and stuff and how they deal with Henry's time travelling and trying to have ababy (the babies have the time travelling gene and keep "jumping" out of Clare's (the wife) womb, thus dying). they do eventually have a daughter, Alba who is also a time traveller.

It is an amazing book, I cried and laughed. Buy yourself a copy from amazon for �3!

I don't have any ghostly photos to speak of but do have a dead spooky photo to mention which is dead true:

My parent's have a photo of me and my brother standing in the queue for the log water ride thingy at chesington zoo way back when I was about 14 or so. Not so spooky I hear you say, but the thing is, the picture happened to be on the desk in my father's study one day and my husband of 2 years came in and looked at the photo and said, why do you have a picture of me?

When I looked I was shocked to see that the two boys in the queue behind me were him and his brother aged 15 and 12...

Weird huh? What are the odds that I would marry the boy behind me in a queue who I didn't even speak to 7 years later and have photographic evidence...?

I went out with a lad some years ago and he was featured in the local newspaper (dressed as a goth!!) and i kept a cutting of it - a few years later i showed it to my sons dad and he turned the cutting over to reveal a photo of himself in a youth band - strangely enough, on the same page was an item about a girl i went to school wiv, and she was a real bully - i constantly had dreams about her until then!!! Maybe i was picking something up about it in my dreams.....?
