I despair over the standard of questions now in Body and Soul. People used to post interesting, thought-provoking questions and answers. Now it seems that the only purpose of Body and Soul is for people to see their name in print.

I am not a naturally polite person on the internet, i know my social manners and always use the traditional please or thankyou in the real world, on line i concentrate more on the words I type and forget to add the polite bits. i think this comes across sometimes as ignorant, but it is unintentional.

I am totally polite - I think manners are vitally important in the world - making people feel good about themselves, showing due respect and politeness. I have brought my children up to use their maners, and they do, not because I'm heavy-handed, but because I've demonstated that respect is a two-way concept, you have to give it to receive it.

ive never been charged to say "please or thank you" so i guess im a polite person...

Sometimes I think I am too polite if that's possible. At times, it lets people walk over you but you can't change how you are and I wouldn't really want to . Manners cost nothing.

you have probably seen me having a go, regarding people who ask a question on AB without a please or thank you. I don't care what anyone else says about it - we are all real people not machines - so deserve respect. Some have hit back at me saying "its not the real world" etc etc but I see it otherwise...

Im very polite in real life, although not so much in 'the virtual world' i dont know why =s Im polite to everyone, but if i meet someone new and they have horrible manners, i dont particularly try hard. like andy-hughes says, you have to give it to recieve it.

I can't stand people who aren't polite, they're probably not aware of it but it's annoying.

I am usually arrogant, ignorant, brash and rude. So it is a nice surprice for others when I am polite on the odd occasion.

i consider myself to be a polite person on the whole until someone really upset me on here ages ago but now i would not be bothered i believe there baiters out there who just want an argument .

i'm a very polite kind of person, in real life and on internet, though sometimei find that people dont like you if you disagree with them. has any one else found that? but i'd rather be hated than to pretend i agree to something, just to make everyone like you.
