At the moment I'm starting yr11, it's new and rather important.... I'm continously worrying about GCSEs and Coursework i haven't finished for the new term, Is there any way I can stop the worrying, and calm myself down. thanks...
silversky - You can only do the best YOU can do, don't try and compare your work and results with anyone else's. Some people can achieve with no effort and some people put in loads of effort and achieve less, we are all different. As Rugely Boy rightly says - if you've done your best you have nothing to worry about. At your age GSCE's seem like the be all and end all of everything but they are just a stepping stone to other things, and whilst important they are not the most important thing, take time out to enjoy this time of your life too.
It's natural, all your friends will also be worried. Even us oldies worry about exams, Beit driving test, job interview or whatever. As,as already been stated, all you can do is give it your best shot, then when you get your results,i'm sure you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. It will all be worthwhile eventually. Leave yourself some free time for enjoyment, otherwise you won't concentrate as well as you could
Basically with GCSE's if you simply pay attention in classes ans make sure you understand what the heck the teachers are talking about you will have got rid of about 75% of revision you need to do.
I paid attention in class.
I did comparativly less revision than others
I got 1 A* 7a's and 2b's
just do what you can, that's all anyone can ask.
Take your time and plan ahead, what will you do and when you will do it.
Think in advance, get your work done as soon as possible so you have what's left of a relaxing holiday.
If your still worrying when you get back to school speak to a teacher or a connexions personal adviser if you have one, they'll help!
