Problem with moles

I have quite a few moles on my body, although they are almost all flat. The thing is that some of them have hairs growing out of them, which I really hate, so I cut them off using scissors. But does anyone know of a more permanent way to get rid of these hairs? I know that you have to be careful when dealing with moles due to the related risk of skin cancer, but if anyone knew of any safe way of dealing with the hairs, other than cutting them every few days, I would really appreciate the information.

Pluck the hair with a pair of tweezers. I know some people are reluctant to do this, but it is harmless (I checked with my DR)
