I go to a Slim 'n Tone, which is the same setup as Curves - machines with cardio platforms in between. You should do the machines only every other day because they cause microtears in the muscles (this is totally normal), which then grow stronger by repairing themselves. You've got to give them a day to repair, otherwise you can do real damage. On the off days, it's cardio cardio cardio. You can just do the platforms, or maybe your place has bikes, ellipticals, treadmills - as long as you get your heart rate up, you'll see the benefits in short order.
